Patient Education

The bedrock of our practice is detailed patient education and preventive dentistry.  We are convinced that pre operative and continuing patient education is probably the most important aspect of treatment and our continued relationship.  Lack of knowledge leaves you at risk of making poor short term choices and resultant higher long term costs, besides having unwelcome outcomes.  

Complications from a poor understanding of the mouth - body relationship and the absolute necessity of having jaw bone intact for your golden years.  The unnecessary loss of teeth will eventually lead to uncomfortable false teeth and / or implants, which of course leads to increase in treatment costs, a financial burden to you or your family especially after retirement. We find education a simple and effective way to prevent these complications for you.

Our goal in preventive approaches is to help you recognize lifestyle factors that may be contributing to your oral health problems. Our priority is to help you understand the importance of prevention through early treatment and overall health maintenance.
